The U.S. has already greatly profited from the war in Ukraine
Via soaring arms sales and upgraded U.S. stockpiles
It's important to understand that the American dollars committed to Ukraine have in fact been vastly smaller than the numbers used by Trump and his minions. They lie constantly. It's actually $81.7 billion that has arrived in Ukraine in the form of arms or financial assistance over the last three years, not $300 billion, or whatever fake number Trump and his propagandists are carelessly throwing around today.
And a majority of that has been in the form of old weaponry that may or may not have ever even been used by the US. Much of it may well have ended up in the boneyard.
And it's certainly not the $500 billion that Trump is trying to extort from Zelensky.
Most importantly, meanwhile, total American arms sales have have soared to over $300 billion per year, and our own military’s weapon and ammunition stocks have been upgraded and renewed in the process.
Americans have actually lost nothing, overall, while Ukraine has flesh and blood on the line.

Final Answer: United States has without doubt generated more profit from additional weapons sales to our allies than we spent helping Ukraine over the last 3 years, which is just $81.7 billion, with majority of that number being valuations of our old weapons, not even money.
